What is MIDI?

Perhaps the best way to understand Rosetta Stone Spanish
what MIDI is to first understand what it is not: MIDI isn't music MIDI doesn't contain any actual sounds MIDI isn't a digital music file format like MP3 or WAV MIDI is nothing more than data -- a set of instructions. MIDI data contains a list of events or messages that tell an electronic device (musical instrument, computer sound card, cell phone, et cetera) how to generate a certain sound. Here are a few examples of typical MIDI messages: Note On signals that a key has been pressed or a note on another instrument (like a MIDI guitar or clarinet) has been played. The Note On message includes instructions for what key was pressed and at what velocity (how hard the note was played). Note Off signals that the key has been released or the note is done playing. Polyphonic Key Pressure is a measurement of how hard a key is pressed once it bottoms out. On some keyboards, this adds vibrato or other effects to the note. Control Change indicates that a controller -- perhaps a foot pedal or a fader knob -- has been pressed or turned. The control change message includes the number assigned to the controller and the value of the change (0-127). Pitch Wheel Change signals that the pitch of the note has been bent with the keyboard's pitch wheel. [source: MIDI Manufacturers Association] When you record music onto a computer using MIDI, the software saves this list of messages and instructions as a .MID file. If you play the .MID file back on an electronic keyboard, the keyboard's internal synthesizer software follows the instructions to play back the song. The Cheap Rosetta Stone Software
keyboard will play a certain key with a certain velocity and hold it for a specified amount of time before moving on to the next note. ? Paul Hawthorne/Getty ImagesControl knobs on mixing boards help engineers set different levels for MIDI recording. But .MID files aren't restricted to keyboards or other electronic musical instruments. They can be played on any electronic device that contains synthesizer software. Any computer with a sound card can play back .MID files. Cell phones use .MID files to play elaborate ringtones. MIDI data files are perfect for karaoke machines, because they allow the machine to easily change pitch for different vocal ranges. The .MID file will sound a little different on each device because the audio sources are different. The karaoke example highlights one of the advantages of .MID files. Since the .MID file contains no actual music or sounds, it can be modified without having to re-record any audio. You can speed up the tempo of a MIDI file without the Chipmunks effect of warping the pitch, and you can play it with any MIDI compatible musical instrument or device. And since MIDI files don't contain sampled audio like MP3 or WAV files, they're comparatively much smaller than audio files. A minute of compressed audio adds up to around 10Mb (megabytes) of data, while a minute of sound translated into MIDI only takes up 10Kb (kilobytes) [source: MIDI Manufacturers Cheap Rosetta Stone German
Association]. This makes MIDI a great choice for memory-starved devices like cell phones and video games. Now let's look at the difference between MIDI instruments and MIDI controllers.

How iTunes Works

has a slick interface and a huge library of media and applications. See options for getting online with Internet connection pictures.Remember when Microsoft was the bad guy and Apple was the underdog? Funny how a brilliant idea can change everything. With the raging success of the iPhone, the iPod line of products and iTunes, you'll now find almost as many people ranting about Apple as about Microsoft. Where one person sees the coolest combination to hit electronics since TiVo met the TV, another sees plans for world domination. And it's all about one word: control. In this article, we'll see what makes iTunes the most popular jukebox software in the world, review some of its more advanced functions, explore the integrated iTunes Store and find out why the whole setup has inspired some lawsuits and epic hacking wars. First, Rosetta Stone Arabic
let's cover the basics.iTunes is a piece of software that lets you add to, organize and play your digital media collection on your computer, as well as sync it to a portable device. It's a jukebox player along the lines of Songbird and Windows Media Player, and you can use it on a Mac or Windows machine. The most significant difference between iTunes and some other media players is the built-in iTunes Store (where you can get podcasts; iPhone, iPad and iPod touch apps; music videos; movies; audiobooks and TV shows, too) and its multi-level integration with Apple's iPhone and its iPod portable media player.Tools for ListeningMP3 QuizHowStuffWorks PodcastsDiscovery.com: Discovery Channel PodcastsBut a portable media player isn't the only way to enjoy iTunes content. There's your Mac OS X or Windows computer, first off -- if you've got a sound card and a set of speakers (and you probably do), that's all you need to use iTunes. There's also Apple's popular entry into the smartphone market, the iPhone. Or you can play your iTunes library with one of the few phones Apple authorized to access the service, such as the Motorola ROKR E1 phone. Some enterprising hackers have created apps that let you synchronize non-Apple products with iTunes, but these aren't supported by Apple and may not work with every version of iTunes. Apple's wireless networking hub, AirPort Express, lets you wirelessly stream iTunes music from your computer to your hub-connected home-theater speakers. With this setup, you control playback via your computer, iPhone, iPad or iPod touch. With another iTunes stream receiver, Roku's SoundBridge Network Music Player, you control everything through the SoundBridge remote control. So you're not limited to any single option when it comes to playback. But you may be limited by the type of player you have and the capabilities of your computer system. You may also have some difficulty tracking down one of these devices; Roku no longer sells the units [source: Roku]Next, learn about iTunes compatibility with your computer and MP3 player.-- Rosetta Stone Greek.

Soulseek Problems

Soulseek is a popular peer-to-peer (P2P) application which Rosetta Stone V3
allows file sharing among its users by means of upload and download network activities. The program is used mainly to download media files, but has also been used in acquiring other software applications and zipped files. Soulseek was created back in 2002 by Nir Abel, a former employee of Napster. ProblemsWhile Soulseek has been one of the most widely used P2P applications, its users have encountered a lot of issues. Among the most notorious problems of Soulseek is the intermittent crashing of the whole program while it is being used, and at times a pop-up message saying "remote: banned file" arises and prevents the user from continuing to download files.CauseWhile the people behind Soulseek haven't considered these issues to be design flaws, the cause of the problems can be attributed to the program's implementation of a file extension banning bit, where exe, bat and other files are banned from being downloaded unless the settings are changed by the user. Intermittent crashing meanwhile can be due to a corrupt Slsk.exe file or a wrong system configuration between the program and the computer.TroubleshootingFor crashing problems, reinstalling the Soulseek program can be a help, especially when the user opts Rosetta Stone Hindi
for the latest version of the P2P program. Meanwhile, other factors should be checked as well, such as the port 2234 in the computer's firewall; it has to be opened to allow the Slsk.exe file to pursue downloading processes within the program.RepairIf the computer runs on Windows XP, the system's security settings allow only 10 incoming connections, whereas the Soulseek program requires 200 incoming connections in order to initiate downloading. It can then be helpful to search and download a file patch that would allow the system to open up to 200 connections in order to download files successfully. Using the patch is not needed for computers running on Windows Vista and Windows 7.RecommendationsSoulseek has begun running on two servers since 2006, and by 2008 it has released a stable version that has greatly reduced the incidence of crashing and banning the entry of certain files via network sharing. However, it is still helpful to keep the configuration settings and requirements satisfied, as they play a big part in ensuring that the Rosetta Stone Software
program can be used for downloading files with less risk and fewer problems.

How to Train in Language Development

Research by noted linguists shows learning a new language requires Cheap Rosetta Stone Software
confidence on the part of the learner to offset commonly held views that adults cannot learn a new language. Recent studies show that, in the early stages of study, adults learn a new language more quickly than children. Such research also shows that the adult brain can be trained to make it easier to learn languages. In addition, classroom environments that reflect adult learning methods can enhance adult language training.Difficulty:Moderately ChallengingInstructions Confidence1Note that specialists at the National Teaching and Learning Forum say that the greatest obstacle to adult language learning is lack of confidence. Recent research in the field of adult learning indicates that healthy adults continue to learn regardless of age. Recent research debunks the 1960 theory that the human brain looses the plasticity and ability to learn new language over time. Neurological research since then shows that adults continue to learn and notes that the adult learning method simply differs from youthful learning. This also applies to learning a new language.2Associate new language material with material that is already part of your learning experience. Dr. Paul Iverson of the UCL Centre for Human Communication, acknowledges that the rate of learnin g Rosetta Stone Japanese
differs between adult language learners and children. Adult language learners learn language better than children in the areas of language structure and vocabulary. Remember that rote learning by children relies on short-term memory compared to the use of long-term memory learning in adults. This means that you will learn a new language more quickly in the early states of language study.3Listen to a new language. Iverson's linguistic research indicates that the brain learns to listen for the sounds of their native language and, over time, tunes out the sounds that are not directly related to this language. Train your brain to learn a new language by training it to listen for the new sounds of a second language. Linguistic research with Japanese, Sinhalese and German native language speakers indicate that when you focus on learning new sounds, you will be able to recognize the sounds of a new language with significant increased proficiency than without this training.4Check the classroom teaching methods for adult learners. You learn differently and need teaching methods directed to adults. Be sure that the instructor does not use extensive rote memorization and drills that target short-term memory skills that are more appropriate for younger learners. You will learn best with methods that appeal to Rosetta Stone Software
your ability to associate new material with what you already know, thus look for teaching methods that stress the relevance of new material with a focus on understanding.

How Hard is JavaScript To Learn (2)?

(Continued from Page 1)Comparing JavaScript to Other Programming Languages Cheap Rosetta Stone
If you already know another programming language then learning JavaScript will be much easier for you than learning that other language. Learning your first programming language is always the hardest one since when you learn a second and subsequent language that uses a similar programming style you already understand the programming style and just need to learn how the new language sets out the commands to do the things you already know how to do in another language. There are at least five different programming styles and learning a second programming style is more difficult than learning a new language that uses the style you already know. Most programming languages only support one of the programming styles but a few support two styles. JavaScript is one of those that supports two styles allowing you to use either of the two most popular stles of procedural or object oriented programming. So if you already know a procedural or object oriented language you will find learning to write JavaScript the same way relatively easy.Another way in which programming Rosetta Stone Software
languages differ is that some are compiled while others are interpreted. The difference between these two is that a compiled language is fed through a compiler which converts the entire code into something that the computer can understand. The compiled compiled version is what gets run and if you need to make changes to the program you must recompile the program before you can run it again. An interpreted program is one where the original statements are read and converted into something the computer can understand at the time the individual commands are to be run. JavaScript is an interpreted language which means that you can make changes to your code and run it again straight away to see the effecto of your change without having to recompile the code.Another difference between programming languages is where they can be run. For example with programs intended to run on a web server you need to have a web server running with the appropriate language support in order to be able to test programs written in that language.JavaScript has many similarities to a lot of other programming languages and so if you know one of those other languages you will find it fairly easy to learn JavaScript and if you know JavaScript you will find it fairly easy to learn the other similar languages. Where JavaScript has the advantage is that support for the language is built into web browsers so that all you need to be able to test your programs as you write them is a web browser to run the code in - and that is something just about everyone has already installed on their computer. You do not need to install a server environment to be able to run tests, you do not need to upload the files to a server elsewhere to be able to run tests, and you do not need to compile the code before you can test it. That makes JavaScript one of the ideal choices as a first programming language to learn as testing your code as you go is far easier than almost every other alternative language. The one area in which learning JavaScript is harder than other programming languages is that different web browsers interpret some JavaScript slightly differently. That introduces one extra concept into JavaScript that other programming languages don't need - that of feature sensing to test which way a given browser expects to perform certain tasks. Of course if you learn JavaScript first then learning other languages where this isn't required will be easier.ConclusionsIn many ways JavaScript is the easiest programming language to learn as your first language. The way that it functions as an Rosetta Stone Chinese V3
interpreted language within the web browser means that you can easily write even the most complex code by writing it a small piece at a time and testing it in the web browser as you go. Even small pieces of JavaScript can be useful enhancements to a web page and so you can become productive almost immediately.

ESL Chanting for Classroom Management

Teaching ESL can be a rich and rewarding experience Rosetta Stone language
for anyone who loves a challenge. You only need a degree in any field, and a TESOL or TEFL certificate to get started, after that, it's simply a matter of choosing the right school in the country in which you wish to live and teach. This can be done by surfing a few ESL sites and applying for a job online, waiting for a reply from some of the schools you've contacted, and then choosing the most appropriate position for you. You'll usually be able to pick and choose because you hold the trump card.So you've stitched up a great teaching job in Asia, well done! Maybe they have agreed to pay your airfare after a qualifying period, and help you with your visa and work permit. Hay! You've even got free accommodation. You're really excited, and so you should be! You're about to go to another planet and encounter all kinds of alien cultures and traditions, but remember, YOU are the alien, or commonly know as the westerner , or the foreigner .You enter your first class of 10 year olds. You expect everything to be the way it was explained in the TESOL/TEFL course you took. You have a super wiz bang lesson plan and the children don't even seem to care that you're in the room! You raise your voice (over the din) to get their attention, and that works, so you get into the lesson and find that many of the activities and strategies you thought would be a hit, fall flat. You have some success with some activities, and manage to finish the lesson in reasonable style. Good work! Now you realize that it will require some creative strategies for managing the situation, so you plan to come better prepared next time. This continues for several weeks, but you're getting worn down, and falling into routines of doing the same things that work best, more often in every class. You get so angry sometimes, with some of the kids that just cause trouble and don't give a dam about Cheap Rosetta Stone V3
your precious lessons. So much so that you've even resorted to slamming books, hitting the blackboard, yelling, screaming, and other boisterous techniques for maintaining control .Time to re-assess the situation, for the benefit of your sanity, and that of your students, you need a new game plan. Here are some ideas that have worked for me and MIGHT work for you also.First and most importantly, you need to get into the room with style while establishing your authority as the owner of the room, in a professional and positive manner which will impress everyone and give you the respect you deserve. TO GET RESPECT YOU MUST FIRST GIVE IT. I include details on how to get into a classroom this way, and increase student talk time, in another article entitled: ESL, Teaching the Silent Way, 99%STT. Now, assuming you can get into the classroom and gain the attention of most of your students for a few seconds this might work.Establish a set of expectations, draft them using target vocabulary and structures, and drill them as a pronunciation exercise at the beginning of each and every lesson. Your students are familiar with this technique because that's how they've leant everything since day one. You will get their respect and attention the first time you do it, and every time you do it. Also whenever you start to loose their attention during the lesson, you can quickly and easily regain it, while simultaneously having your students practice pronunciation and use target vocabulary/structures (without them realizing it).Exactly what, and how, to do it (don't be put off by the audio linguistic nature of what follows. Audio linguistics saved lives during the war, it works!)Introductory lessonStep oneConsider your class's overall level of receptive English language ability, (what most of them will be able to comprehend after an initial introductory lesson). Then, Rosetta Stone Italian V3
draft up 3-5 sentences, pertaining to your expectations, in the target language for this group.

About Japanese Language

About 128 million Japanese people live on a group of islands Rosetta Stone language
that altogether have an area smaller than the state of California. They speak Japanese, a unique language which has three different writing systems. Unlike English, to speak Japanese correctly, politeness matters. You have to know whether it is appropriate to use formal or common words in a conversation with another person. HistoryWhile English can trace its roots to Latin, Greek, and Germanic languages, Japanese cannot trace its roots to any of the major lingusitic families. Its grammar, pronunciation, and orthography are unique even though there are words in the Japanese vocabulary that come from Chinese as well as from languages from other parts of the world. For example, the words radio and coca-cola have been adopted into Japanese from English.FeaturesThese two words, though, must be written in katakana, one of the three orthographies. Both katakana and hiragana provide Japanese with a set of symbols for each of the 46 syllables used in the language. Hiragana is used to write words that are Cheap Rosetta Stone V3
native to the Japanese language. Sometimes whole words are written in hiragana. Often, though, kanji or Chinese characters, are employed as well. Katakana looks like an italicized version of hiragana and is only used to write foreign words that have become commonly used in Japanese.ConsiderationsAlmost all Japanese syllables end in vowel sounds. No syllable is pronounced for a longer time than another and no syllable receives greater stress. While to correctly pronounce the English language you have to accent or stress a certain syllable, in Japanese the intonation pattern relies more on a difference in the pitch between syllables. Variations in pitch also signal the end of a sentence or question even though Japanese is not a tonal language like Chinese where the meaning of words change based on the pitch.FunctionSentences in Japanese do not always include a subject. Verbs usually come at the end of the sentence. If you want to use an adjective to describe something, the modifier goes before the noun according to the rules of Japanese grammar. Short little dependent words that cannot occur by themselves give Japanese speakers clues about how to understand the grammatical role of other independent words which Rosetta Stone English V3
carries the main meaning. In other words, a different dependent word will follow the independent word, "book," for example, to indicate whether "book" is the sentence, direct object or indirect object.Expert InsightJapanese does not use many personal pronouns. Instead, a title like "sensei" which is what you call a teacher, or "okusan" which is what you call an older married woman, can be used as a substitute for the person's name in sentences. Japanese verbs do not change their endings based on the person or number of their subject. This means that the subject of a verb may need to be deduced by the context of the sentence itself. Finally, the Japanese language includes extra words or markers that can attach to words and show honor and humility. The speaker will refer to the listener using words denoting honor but to himself using words that show humility.

How to Speak French on the Computer

The beauty of the French language is often difficult for English-speakers to grasp. French Rosetta Stone V3
uses sounds that do not exist in English, so an English speaker must practice French pronunciation carefully and take plenty of time to understand how the language works. When a native French speaker mistakes you for a native speaker, you know you have studied well.Difficulty:Moderately ChallengingInstructions Things You'll NeedComputerNotebookPencil or penFinding the Right Resources1Go to sites such as those hosted by eLanguage Schools and French-pub.com (see Resources). Each provides lessons on learning the French language and proper pronunciation. Audio files or pronunciation keys are part of each website so that a new learner can start understanding the language and an intermediate or advanced learner can perfect their grammar and accent.2Learn the basics first. Just like studying any language, it's important to start with the basics, meaning the alphabet. After going through each letter and either hearing or reading its sound, write the letter yourself as you say its sound. This is an effective way to reinforce proper pronunciation. With a language like French, do this exercise several times. The authors of the French website French-pub.com suggest, "You should try to study a few minutes every day." This way, your learning is consistent.3Read the pronunciation key. After learning the alphabet, study the different vowel combinations and rules. According to French Instructor Laura K. Lawless, "French, like English, can be very difficult in terms of pronunciation, due to intricacies like silent letters, multiple sounds for a single letter, and endless exceptions to whatever rules you find." Go through the pronunciations slowly. Don't just Cheap Rosetta Stone V3
memorize the rules, understand them. For instance, one rule states that "c" is pronounced like "s" when followed by e, i or y, like in the name "Cezanne." "C" is pronounced with a "k" sound when followed by an a, o, u or consonant, as in the word "cafe."4Practice saying the words. Learning the different ways vowels and consonants can sound in various situations is helpful in correctly pronouncing French words. Check your pronunciation by using an audio file on the computer, CD or DVD of French speakers. Make certain to use resources that uses Parisian French as this is considered the standard dialect, according to Lawless and Rodney Ball, author of "The French Speaking World." If you are planning to go to Quebec, learning that form of French may be best as there are marked differences between the two forms.5Remember the accent marks. Unlike English, French uses various accent marks indicating how to say a word. Use these to your advantage by visualizing how a word looks in order to pronounce it correctly.6Use a French learning CD along with a book to learn the language such as "Just Listen 'n Learn French Plus" by Stephanie Rybak. Make sure that you already have a basic understanding of French and practice speaking. If need be, write out the English equivalent of a French sound so that you can phonetically sound out a word. For instance, if you have trouble saying the word "croissant," writing "quawsaw" next to the word may help you remember the right pronunciation. There is also the DVD "Musical Method of Learning French" by Jim Hawthorne, which may be helpful for those having trouble with traditional teaching methods.7Go to the library or bookstore to get French Language DVDs. Examples of these include "Learn French" with Victor Ebner and "Parlez-vous Français?," which has DVDs for beginning and advanced students.Euphony1Regardless of how you learn to speak the language, practice and keep in mind an important pronunciation maxim: "In French, there are rules about maintaining euphony; that is, agreeable or harmonious sound. French is a very musical language because it tends to flow from one word to the next with no hiatus (pause)," according to Lawless. Knowing when to leave off the ending sound of a word and change a word entirely makes the difference between an amateur and expert speaker.2Grasp the concept of euphony. There are various ways that words are changed to avoid the hiatus. As mentioned by Lawless, liaisons move the usually silent ending of a word to the beginning of the following word as in the case of "vous avez", which becomes [vu za vey] when spoken, rather than [vu a vey]. In circumstances in which a word has been inverted so a verb ends in a vowel, the letter "T" is placed Rosetta Stone Spanish V3
between the verb and the next word.3Learn other ways that euphony in maintained in French. Some adjectives take on special forms to avoid a hiatus. For instance, "ce homme" [seu uhm] is changed to "cet homme" [seh tuhm]. Likewise placing an "L" plus an apostrophe, as in " l'," before "on" avoids a hiatus. Another important euphonic device is enchaînement, meaning the transfer of the sound at the end of one word onto the following word, such as in the phrase belle âme. Rather than saying [beh lahm], you say [bel ahm], therefore maintaining the flow of speech without pausing, according to Lawless.4Contractions are another way to prevent a hiatus. An example of a contraction in French is the phrase "le ami" [leu a mee] which becomes l'ami [la mee] when contracted, as stated by Lawless.

The Importance Of Choosing A Good Hypnotherapist

When it comes to finding a good hypnotherapist, it's much the Rosetta Stone V3
same as anything else. You need to use the resources at your disposal and apply a certain amount of common sense along the way.As a professional, there's no greater compliment than a referral. If someone recommends me to another potential client, it's because they've had a good, positive experience in working with me and their therapy has been successful. That's indicative that I'm doing something right. From the potential client's perspective, it's immediately comforting to be referred to someone. It's like some of the research has already been done for them. But even with a good referral, there are other considerations, and anyone seeking to connect with a hypnotherapist should take appropriate measures in assuring they are working with the right hypnotist.Sourcing them out shouldn't be very complicated. You'll likely be able to compile a starting list from browsing the internet. I would then encourage clients to get informed, and compare services. For instance, you might find several hypnotherapy clinics in your area, and not be able to identify any differences at first glance. You should investigate their inner workings just a bit. It's okay to telephone them and ask questions, just conduct a little fact-finding mission.Consider things like whether the hypnotist is a full-time professional or whether they are just sort of moonlighting at this activity. Do they have an office or are they working from their living room? What about the services they offer. Is he/she making unrealistic promises? Are their rates suspiciously lower than average? Check out credentials and qualifications. Are they a member of professional association, a reputable one? These are a few examples of the sorts of things you can investigate, but a lot of times, your judgment will come straight from your gut feeling. If you can visit and possibly Cheap Rosetta Stone Software
meet a therapist in person first, you may find that all the other variables are irrelevant because you felt you had an instant connection with that person, and you would be very comfortable working with them.If you do get a chance to meet a hypnotherapist before you decide to work with him or her, you can investigate their approach, and see if you are comfortable in how they plan and execute their work.Personally, I have no set pattern of conduct in place. Sure there are general procedures which help me get the therapy started on track, but after the initial orientation, I like to think that I'm flexible and adaptable enough to customize my therapy for the specific unique needs of each of my clients.Initially, I like to spend time chatting with a new client so that I can identify their cause of concern, or what it is they want to achieve. Then I investigate their willingness or inclination to work together as a team. I also like to get their impression of hypnosis before we start, so that I know what I'm working with in terms of myths or beliefs, etc. It's important to go into this with realistic expectations so I need to get some indication of what the person has in their head in terms of expectations. After that initial process, it's more about the specifics of that client. We can start to explore the problem. This process is really about having the client take a look deep inside himself. It's important at this stage that I am extremely flexible, because I don't want to lead the client in any way. It's their own personal journey, I am just a facilitator. What people usually expect when they first come into it, is a brief chat of a few minutes, then a typical session including an induction, deepener, suggestion, and then bring them back. They will typically expect a few minutes of chatting afterwards. That's normal and it's very common practice for most professional hypnotherapists. There's nothing set in stone in terms of approach or technique. There really isn't a set prescription for a specific problem. Even if I have two clients with the same problem, I wouldn't apply some sort of generic therapy. I would treat each case as an individual case, because it is. What works for one client might not at all work for the other, so it's imperative to Rosetta Stone Arabic V3
be open and flexible and adaptable.Interpretation skills are extremely useful and important here as well. I want to be able to make a determination based on what I interpret from what the client has told me. I want to hear what they're telling me and also read what they aren't saying. I need to determine the best course of action for that client based on what I believe, and what I determine from them. The best quality in a good hypnotherapist is likely his or her ability to be flexible and apply a treatment that is as unique as the client in from of him.

Hillary Clinton's world eyes 2016, not vice president

The latest round of speculation that Hillary Clinton could replace Joe Biden Rosetta Stone V3
as President Barack Obama’s running mate in 2012 misses the point.Clinton doesn’t want to be vice president. But, her old advisers say she may still want to be president. VIDEO: Clinton on V.P. rumorPOLITICO 44 VIDEO: Woodward on Obama/ClintonAnd all the denials of author Bob Woodward’s hint at an Obama-Clinton ticket in 2012, the latest in a string of similar notions floated by pundits, miss another point: that speculation about Clinton’s future is likely to be an ongoing cross to bear for the Obama administration, fanned by a retinue of former Clinton aides and friends who may not be happy until another Clinton is in the White House. (See: Woodward: VP Hillary 'on the table') The members of Clinton’s political team, manystill in exile from the Obama White House, whether in the private sector or in other government posts, remain on standby. They are also the most invested in her prospects: Their relevance depends, to a degree, on hers. One, Ann Lewis, maintains an Rosetta Stone Japanese Software
organization based on Clinton’s massive e-mail list. It’s called NoLimits.org. Another, pollster Mark Penn, conducted a public survey for The Hill this week that included a pot-stirring match-up of Clinton and Obama in 2012.These advisers and supporters remain, to varying degrees, on the outside, but many still talk to Clinton or to her husband. Clinton recently finished paying off the debts her 2008 campaign owed Penn a mark of their continued relationship. And Penn, for one, Woodward reported in his latest book, sees the secretary of State job as a potential stepping stone, perhaps via the vice presidency, to the White House. Penn always had his eye on the prize the White House. If she did the job for four years, Obama might be in trouble and have to dump Biden and pick her to run with him as vice president, Woodward wrote. (Penn declined to comment to POLITICO on Clinton’s prospects.) It is from this group that Woodward presumably picked up suggestions that Clinton is interested in the 2012 ticket and that Obama might consider putting her on it. But there is no evidence that Clinton has talked about it. In fact, just the opposite, according to some in her orbit. Not happening, Rosetta Stone Korean Software
said one of her 2008 campaign’s top figures. Stay tuned for 2016.
