Morgan Stanley to cap cash bonus payouts: WSJ

HONG KONG (MarketWatch) -- Morgan Stanley MS +0.12% will limit individual cash bonus payouts to $125,000 for the recently-completed year, reflecting difficult conditions for the investment banking industry in 2011, the Wall Street Journal reported on Canada Goose Expedition Tuesday citing people familiar with the matter. Some employees may end up getting bigger bonuses, though amounts higher than the $125,000 figure will be deferred to December 2012 and December 2013, the report said. The decision was reportedly approved by the firm's compensation committee last week.
